Bow Hunting
Bowhunting seems to have really taken off in the last ten years or so.
The gear has got allot better and the advent of laser range finders has been a huge help. Prior to these, one had to guesstimate range precisely or end up shooting over or under the target. I found it a hugely frustrating challenge but now equipment has improved vastly, it's a viable challenge.
The USA leads the way in terms of archery tackle and even died in the wool archers eventually yield to the modern trends of using release aids and sights etc.
I have come from years of rifle hunting but once having taken a few deer with the bow, could never go back to main stream rifle hunting again. I love shooting but the buzz from cleanly taking a game animal with a bow is too much for me to ever consider taking up the rifle again for general hunting.
